Notes and Credits

This is a Sonic 3 Competition Mode remake using @LCB456_test 's Sonic engine. (I usually use Delta Framework 2, but I used LCB for its simple interface) This is basically an improved and more realized version of my Minic the Hedgehog project. Despite many people seeing as "impressive," I wasn't really that proud of how it turned out. This project showcases the greater potential split screen games have on Scratch. I say "Scratch" in general and not "Sonic Scratch games" because there aren't really that many split screen projects on the platform right now. Making one isn't the hardest thing to achieve, and I'd be glad to see more on the platform. There are some minor clipping issues when it comes to the level and the background, and that is because of the website used to separate the chunks. I used website called tinywow that allowed me to split an image up into individual parts. Unfortunately, it only allows images to only be split by so much. Since the border is 4 pixels in height, I very well could have split the chunks into 4 pixel intervals using ezgif, but that would take considerably longer, and since this project was more of a proof-of-concept than anything, I decided to just not do that. I hope you still enjoy messing around with this project. I had this project idea months ago and initially thought it was impossible, but to be fair, that was before I knew stamping existed lol. If I do add any additional content to this project in the future (might happen if I feel the need to in the future), I will try to add Tails, missing particles, and also a menu for character selection and keybinds. New levels besides Azure Lake is 100% possible, but it's unlikely that I will be adding any more. _____________________________________ Credits: @LCB456_test - Engine used @aiman_daffa - Object engine and prior engine edits _____________________________________ Shoutout to @spybaz for getting his GSE split-screen project out before my lazy self could manage to. And no, despite the beef we had in the past, that is not an insult. Credit where credit is due; he did a good job, and the actual "split" part of the split-screen works a bit better. Check his out if you're interested. *No BG on his though so hey that's a 0/10 if you ask me* You should also check out the Sonic Fan Festival 2023 and GSE-Fest 2023 studios! My project will be featured on both studios! I definitely rushed the heck out of this project just to get it out by the deadline, but I still think it's... fine? Please excuse the SIGNIFICANT lack of polish in this project (seriously, not even an insta-shield). I tried so hard to get this out, but it's really my fault for sleeping on this project for 2 months straight with no progress. As a bonus, though, this project marks the end of my hiatus on Scratch, at least for the most part. I will be creating an alt account soon and posting some of my more experimental projects on it. I already have about 3 projects nearly ready to release on that account, so be prepared for that to come about!
