Notes and Credits

Dangos are a type of Japanese dumpling made from rice flour. The dangos you see in the picture are a specific type of dango, "hanami dango". They have 3 colors (pink, green, white) and are often eaten during Hanami, which is a Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers. Hanami happens from the end of March to early May, when cherry trees bloom all over Japan. Song is だんご大家族 ("a big dango family", pronounced "dango daikazoku") by IOSYS, based on a song with the same name by Chata. If you know where the song comes from, respect. Image from theblessingbucket.com Yes, of course, this is an April Fools joke in a way - dango day doesn't exist. But dangos are still nice. And if you’ve seen the "dango rain" on my profile, or on ScratchStats.com, you’re cool :) Thanks to everyone that’s participating in dango day by mentioning dangos in their profile! Special thanks to: - @griffpatch for participating, and for saying “I want to eat a Dango” on February 14th 2021, which inspired dango day - @TheColaber for helping out with dango day ;) - @jeffalo for being cool - @littlebunny06 for telling griffpatch about dangos - @apple502j for fact checking (he’s Japanese and has eaten dangos) - @_tHE_cliKeR_ for using ScratchStats.com early in the morning
