PROLOGUE: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1019852870/ LEVEL EDITOR: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1030284838/ For best experience, use turbowarp with fullscreen, use a fast browser and close all other tabs. This is a recreation of the first chapter of the popular platformer game, Celeste by exok games. This was a six month project, my biggest yet. I'm 12 and I have no idea how I managed to make something this good without actually having played celeste for PC advertising is allowed, as long as you heart + star Thank you to @RolinGP3, @childrenad and @hai032720 for your critiques and suggestions speedrun.com: https://www.speedrun.com/Celeste_Chapter_1_Scratch?h=any&x=7dgp8old I challenge any celeste players to beat this either without dashing, or without climbing. It is possible using certain glitches that I left in for this purpose. Beat my speedrun records: any%: 69.168s 100%: 239.58s Dashless: 155.892s (pause menu -> options -> other -> speedrun timer) VERSION 1.1: NEW FEATURES: *Added Idle animation *More sound effects *Added new debug option to the pause menu *Show hitboxes feature *Added 4 frame buffer window to consecutive dashes *Added wall jumping from the back CHANGES *Better death animation *Better dash animation, dash physics changes *Better hitboxes *Accurate neutral wall jumps *Better tile breaking animation *You can no longer climb over a platform and onto a spike (QOL) *Randomized up and down animation of dash crystals and strawberries *Better corner correction Bugfixes: *Fixed the jittery screen transitions *Fixed the 2 frame delay of wall climb jumps *Fixed bug where you collect a berry on spikes before dying *Level actually resets when you die *Fixed bug where you jump midair after dashing from the ground ('dash jump') *Fixed crouch climbing bug *Fixed traffic block spawning bug *You can no longer die by uncrouching beneath a surface I also cleaned up all the code. The first ~3% of this project was made using half of Griffpatch's platformer youtube series. Although the vast majority does come from me. Btw, I don't actually own celeste for PC, which made it a billion times harder to make and recreate everything in chapter one. I analyzed hours and hours of raw footage to try and get the physics down. #all#games#trending
